The CMAS-ISA Three Star Instructor Trainer course is designed to promote Two Star Instructors to train and qualify sport divers as well as Instructors and issue CMAS-ISA certification. In-date Three Star Instructor Trainers are voting members of CMAS-ISA.
To evaluate Three Star Instructor Trainer candidates in the training of Instructors according to CMAS-ISA Instructor course standards. To ensure that candidates who receive certification as CMAS-ISA Three Star Instructors Trainers have the knowledge, skills and proper attitude to be able to promote and encourage the education and training of Two Star instructors in the principles and techniques of the tuition of safely participating in underwater activities.
- Is in possession of the appropriate speciality qualification.
- Have assisted on two additional courses of that speciality (where applicable).
- Have certified at least 35 One Star or Two Star divers.
- Have met all additional prerequisites a speciality may have.
Candidates for the Three Star Instructor Course must:
Be at least 21 years old
Must be in possession of a medical certificate clearing the holder as fit to participate in the sport of underwater diving. A medical practitioner using the CMAS-ISA Sport Diver medical examination form, must have carried out the medical examination not more than 12 months previously.
Be in possession of a CMAS-ISA Two Star Instructor certificate for at least one year, from date of certification and proof of certification or involvement in the training of at least 25 Dive Masters or Three Star Diver Students, or a combination thereof.
